vista 5308 sound blaster live 24 bit install

Vista 5308 and Sound Blaster Live 24 bit install problem

Is there a trick to installing this hardware? I have the vista drivers but get message of failed install .
Says something about parameter error.

The workaround is to extract the SoundBlaster 24 driver file file using WinZip for instance. Now go to the folder where you extracted the file. Find the Drivers folder. Now in that folder click on Support. Now click on i386 folder. In that folder you will find the ctzapxx.exe file. Double click on the file and the drivers should install correctly. Not a very smooth install for sure. For some reason the SB 24 drivers have been a real problem working under Vista. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

Hey Andre,
I
was wondering if you have your SB 24bit also running on Beta 2 build 5384. I have an Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit 7.1 internal and I just cannot get it to work under build 5384. I followed your steps and even select the "disable driver signature" every time during start up but nothing works. any ideas...?
Thanks, Thorben
